Pattern: vertical ribs surround the items (24 ribs on the large
tumbler), the entire design being topped off with an encircling band of laurel. An intricate
circular design that reflects the vertical ribs and laurel band is featured on the ground base.
The same complex design can be found inside the lid and on the finial of the covered
bonbonniere.
Shapes reported in
Carnival: large tumbler, 4 inch
high x 2.5 inch base (10 cm x 6.5 cm); pitcher; covered bonbonniere (or covered sugar); open
salt 2.5 inches wide x 1.5 inches high (7 cm x 4 cm).
Colours reported in
Carnival: blue for pitcher,
tumbler and the bonbonniere/sugar; marigold for pitcher (marigold tumblers are likely, but not
yet reported to us). The open salt is currently only reported in marigold.
